Product Description

Ingenuity goes a long way toward compensating for lack of capital, an axiom Kenneth Cole proved back in the early 1980s when he launched his fledgling shoe store out of a borrowed truck parked along a fashionable Midtown Manhattan street. Gaining a parking permit required a clever ruse. Cole added the word "Productions" to his company name, reinvented himself as a film director, hired models as "actors," and got a license to shoot a film appropriately titled The Birth of a Shoe Store. Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. (the tongue-in-cheek name remains to this day) may not have produced much actual film that day, but it did sell an impressive number of shoes. Today, Kenneth Cole Reaction blends fabulous fashion with functionality, creating urban-inspired footwear for work or play.

    I've had these for about two months now and they fit great, look great and seem sturdy enough to last me a while. The zippers seemed a little superfluous at first, but let me say they are so convenient. I just wear these around the office during the week and walking around during the weekend, but whether you're getting home late after a long day or passing out on someone's drunk at 4 in the morning, being able to take these off in 2 seconds flat is very much appreciated.

    Couldn't be happier and I plan to buy another pair in brown.

    One of the toe caps did wrinkle across the top, but that may be have been my fault driving my standard. Nothing a little polish cant fix.

    I bought a pair of Kenneth Cole boots in the past and they were well crafted in ITALY, to say the least. Suddenly I started seeing a lot of good photos of kc shoes but only this time... Made in china. I decided to give this one a shot. When I received it.....it was nothing but a disgrace coming from kc. first off it wasn't leather at all...at least to the best of my observation. It is the height of cheesiness and the shabbiest craftsmanship I ever brought home! the interior looks rough and unfinished with glue stains here and there. And all the stitches inside and out looks like the work of a drunkard trying to keep a straight hand. Zero finesse. When i tried it on, it simply didn't align with the natural contours of my feet. BUT I'M NOT one to wait for a few blisters so i shipped it right back. kc have so lowered the bar out of greed for Chinese cheap labor. Well there you have it..cheap shoes selling at a rip off prices! Sorry to sound hard but these boots are worthless.

    These are nice looking boots, and having owned a previous pair of Kenneth Cole boots, I was able to guess the size online and they fit great on arrival. However, after wearing them for an evening, I noticed that the heel nails that hold the upper to the sole were pushing up through the insole. Needless to say, this was rather uncomfortable. I have tacked the nails down, which has temporarily resolved this problem, but I am guessing this is indicative of overall cheap construction and poor quality control, and I do not expect these boots to last long.

    Edit: Ok I have had these boots for a couple of months now and thet still look great but I have done many miles of walking in them. But I am noticing a really bad pain in the middle of the forward part of my foot when I wear them. I couldn't figure it out until I saw the boots in a X-ray machine at the airport. There is a metal bar running from the heal up the middle of the foot up to just behind the toes. I can't wear them anymore as they just hurt to much. Not happy as they still look brand new.
    Good boots. A little slippery in the snow. As they have no traction. Very nice for the office and good to slip on and slip off. I wear a 9.5 normally and that's what I ordered and they fit great.
