Bought these for work, 50/50 split between office and field. Not walking long distances. I've had these boots for a little over 7 months. The Good, I really liked the look of them and they were comfortable and light weight. The Bad, The eyelets have sharp edges that fray the laces on both boots. I'm on my third pair in 6 months. The soles do not hold up under moderate use. For what you pay, and given Rockports history one would expect these boots to last longer than 6 months. The build quality is low While these boots are comfortable when they are new, the quality quickly deteriorates. I have had cheap $20 boots that have lasted longer then these did. It seems like it's not just me but an issue with lowering standards at Rockport.

Boot width runs tight.Length was fine.I purchased an 11 D which is my usual size but these boots were very tight and narrow.

I have been ordering Columbia shoes / boots size 11 from Amazon for years, so I ordered size 11 for these boots. When I tried these boots on, my feet swam in them. They were way too big for my feet. They look good, but I think if I kept them, they would need a long break in period as the material used seemed very unyielding and stiff. Returned them.

I have owned a pair of these boots for about 20 years and I love them. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have taken them with me all over the world, hiked in deserts and mountains, worn them in city and country, heat, rain and snow

I have abused them with neglect and letting the mud just dry on them (they are no longer waterproof) but they have never needed any repairs other than changing the laces once in a while.

In this time I have had countless other shoes and boots - but nothing which has lasted more than a couple of years. These just keep on going and are incredibly comfortable (although they get hot in the summer)

I am writing this review because In this world one rarely finds something of such remarkable quality.

I attached a photo just to show what they look like - scruffy and battered - I wore them today at the dog park - but still solid with none of the main stitchwork even frayed.

Note some details are different - presumably they have made some minor style choices over the years, for example changing the lace holes.

    Anyway - just my 0.02

I've ordered these multiple times, and each time received a slightly different product. The first pair was great, it was stylish and had all the features the listing says. The second and third pairs were differently shaped, more of a wide look, making it less appealing as a casual/dressy boot. 2nd and third also had differences in quality control. First pair was very scuffed, 2nd pair was cleaner but was missing some leather edge treatment in certain spots.

And Rockport has been awful about keeping specific sizes in stock. Overall would just take your money to another brand if you're a picky shopper. If you don't really care about specifics though, these would be fine for a city boot.

These are handsome boots. The upper side leather has held up beautifully, and are easy to care for. Look great with a little shoe polish and buff. However, the Achilles heel of these shoes is the material on the sole. The heel separated from the shoe within the first few weeks (but thankfully responded to a "Shoe Goop" fix). The bottoms have worn through quickly, and tore out right at the ball of the foot under relatively light use.
