Product Description

Being from Sweden, IceBugs knows more than they might want to admit about winter. Not only the postcard pretty, snowy landscape type, but anything from -25C, over slush to the modern city version of +5C with the rain blowing hard into your face and the streets flooding. The real icebugs survive by creating an anti-freeze protein in their bodily fluids. We humans can't resort to that. But warn, dry feet and outstanding traction is a good way of staying mobile and increasing the chances of making it through, even keeping the spirits up.

5 out of 5 stars
Superior traction with these boots.
Excellent pair of boots here in Pennsylvania we got dump with 24 inches of snow, I've never felt so confident removing snow with the snow blower and not worry about slipping at all outstanding traction with these boot's stayed very clean and this snow just rolled right off, excellent water proofing. I know these are on the price-wise but they are worth every penny Keeping for falling & breaking your or back!!! I'm adding some day and evening pictures.

This is my 2nd pair of ice bug boots. I’m a rather clumsy person that doesn’t do so well on ice. I live in a neighborhood where most sidewalks are icy all winter & I have a high energy dog that leaves me no choice but to walk him anyway. I’ve tried slip on traction like stabilicers, but the problem with those is that if you hit a patch of dry pavement, they catch & it’s easy to trip. After a tibia fracture last year I figured I really needed something better for the ice. Bought my first pair of these & I was hooked. Great traction even on glare ice, but they don’t catch on dry pavement. I wear these every day in the winter. They’re a little noisy & definitely don’t wear them inside - especially on hardwood. My only complaint is the lack of size variety! The women’s only go up to size 10 - I’m an 11. Apparently Swedish women don’t have big feet :) Please make larger sizes ice bug! I like the women’s styles much better.

I was rather disappointed that these fit as snugly as they do. I usually wear a size nine in men's or size 11 in women's. These are not as long nor as wide as what I am used to, but I can wear them for at least a few hours, and I don't need to wear them in the snow any longer than that. The grippers on the bottom are great. They don't slip at all, which is why I bought them.

Bought them pretty late in the winter to give them a full test - but loved the feel on my walks with my dog on very icy pavement and trail.

I did put a few small holes in my kitchen floor. You should not wear them in house on any thing but carpet.

It will be another few weeks before they will be put to the test here in the Upper Peninsula, but right now they look as though they will do the job.
