Product Description
With its sporty, moccasin-inspired style, the Dunham Addison men's lace-up mid cut boot has a rugged look to go with its sturdy construction. Full grain leather uppers, removable inserts and seam-sealed waterproof construction all go into making the Addison a boot that can take you just about anywhere. Premium foam insert offers high density, open-cell foam to gently conform to the foot and disperse pressure. The TRU-TRAK multi-directional outsole grip configuration provides maximum traction and surface contact. The Dunham by Addison never disaapoints you!
This Dunham casual mid-cut shoe is built to handle the elements, with a waterproof leather upper, sealed internal seams, and a sturdy rubber traction sole. Comfort and support are key elements of the design, which includes a firm cushioning EVA midsole, extra shock absorbing pods in the heel and forefoot, and a full-length removable cushion insert. A fiberglass shank provides good arch support and encourages a smooth gait (it's airport-friendly too), and rollbar technology adds rearfoot stability. With its rich leather and sporty overlays, this shoe is no slouch in the style department either.
Dunham fits. Dunham products are made to fit your life, your needs, your activities, and most importantly, your feet. Dunham makes outdoor, work and casual shoes in more sizes and widths than anyone else. This means that no matter what path you take, Dunham fits.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2013I purchased these boots online because I have a pair already that I've worn for several years. The old boots are still going strong but I needed a brown pair and since it was a good quality boot that fit well and was comfortable and supported my ankles and feet very well I decided to buy online. I am happy with them so far. They fit the same as the old pair. I do need to break them in more but after several days of minimal wear just to get them loosened up a bit, they are doing very good. These boots are sturdy but look nice enough to wear in the office. They hold a good brush shine too.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2013Most boots only come in 5E maximum width. In this boot, the 9 6E was perfect for me. By way of comparison, I am usually an 8 1/2 6E in a dress shoe or sneaker, and normally find a 9 5E boot is not wide enough, but a 9 1/2 boot is too long. This boot was perfect, and fit with either a thin sock or even a heavy sock. While the leather is soft, I did find the need for some break-in before I could wear all day, as I have vericose veins on my ankle. However, after a few short walks, the boots were fine. I wore them while walking around London 12 plus hours at a time and had no problems or issues. If you have trouble getting a wide enough boot grab these while you can!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2014Being that I am 300lbs I tend to be hard on work shoes. I work on my feet, on concrete floors for a minimum of 8+ hours a day. These shoes are the ticket. My feet do not hurt at the end of long days. They are lightweight which made me question the support they would provide. They were broken in and fit to my feet in about 2 hours. They are amazing. I bought a second pair to alternate days that I wear them. Attempting to get them to last longer and be fresher from day to day.
I have only been wearing them about a month. So far they are holding up very well. I hope they last a while!!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2013I wear between 11.5 6E and 12 6E. I bought these in 12 6E. Some 12 6E shoes are too long for my feet, but these are fine. The 6E width is wide enough for me. The brown color is much lighter than shown, and I don't like the look all that well. I walk a bit over a mile each way to work and back and the inside sole is quite hard. The shoes seem to be waterproof which is what I needed as winter ended and the snow melted, producing extended puddles between the snowbanks on either side of the sidewalk. Things are dry again and I switched back to a pair of New Balance walking shoes, model 927, and the 927s are like walking in pillows. One odd thing about the Addison is the length of the tongue; it is quite short, and when I tie the laces the tongue is barely long enough to extend under the knotted laces. So not my favorite shoes, but they are wide enough, a good length, and waterproof, so warrant 4 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2015I bought these shoes for my Dad and he absolutely loves them. He can wear these all day and never complaint about them being uncomfortable. He suffers from knee pain but these have saved him because of the arch support and the cushioning that they have. I have bought multiple pairs for him this last one is his fourth pair. He has both black and brown colors and he uses them for work all the time. He wears down the soul of the shoe completely but the upper (although worn) is still intact not a stitch undone and the leather has never torn. They look good for work or even as a casual boot. Expensive they may be, but they are worth every penny. My Dad would recommend these shoes to anyone.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2018We have over half a dozen Dunham shoes and so far this is the most disappointing (not as highly rated as the others). I have worn it over 25 times in the last year since its purchase. Here are the following reasons why it deserves only a 3 and not a 4 or 5 on the rating scale.
1) The sole on the right shoe was defective to begin with. It was slightly bulging on the front step, the rubber had excess material so it looks deformed when viewed from above. I thought it had nothing much to do with the walk, until
2) it started squeaking after half a year of use. I suspect it could be the insole but it squeaks on any smooth surface, lesser if carpet or soil. The squeak is annoying enough to draw attention when walking inside offices or the mall.
3) The Rollbar support (the one with the imprint) on the heel detached less than a year of use, and I stuck it back with Shoe Goo but it still came off. As a result, the cushioning isn't as good anymore and the squeaking got worse.
4) the ankle area isn't padded well enough, so when you tighten the shoelaces it constricts the blood flow in the veins of the ankle
5) the toe area (size EE) is wider than expected. I have another Dunham Chukka (similar construction but low cut) which is D width and it's slightly tight. What I would need is something in between these two widths and it would be perfect fit in the toe area.
Having said that, this is still a good shoe. Its winning qualities are that 1) it's waterproof 2) thick leather 3) comfortable except for the squeak. I just wasn't as lucky as I noticed the flaws immediately after opening but I couldn't return it (I am based abroad so the return window has lapsed). That's why I select shoes carefully since I don't have the return window opportunity (it takes over a month to ship this abroad from my USA address). And the Dunham brand has generally been better than most other casual shoe brands, and at par with Clarks and Rockport, though more reasonably priced.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2016I bought these because my last two pairs lasted longer than any other shoe/boot I've ever had. The previous pair survived me standing still on them for 12 to 15 hours a day in the pharmacy. They survived a lot of walking around cooler travel destinations. This pair is no different. I like the way it fits, looks, and hold up. I've had them for a few months and they look like they did when they came out of the box. I only own a few pairs of shoes as fashion isn't a major concern to me. These last and I think they look good. Yes, the dog helped "retire" the last pair by eating part of the tongue. Dog was okay...shoe not so much.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent boots.
Wore out a squeak in the right shoe, left shoe still squeaks after 5 month of daily wear. Will neet to go see a cobbler to get it fixed right.
Fits as expected.

5.0 out of 5 stars For Dunham, 12 XXwide is 6E. This is not so for many other so called "wide" footwear brands.
I have very wide feet due to a medical condition and therefore have difficulty finding footwear. Dunham XXwide is a 6E. Many other brands claiming extra width,(XXwide), are actually 5E, which is to tight... ie Prophet.
