    These are great boots. Been wearing cowboy boots for 40 years. Have a pair of Justin Ropers that are 20+ years old and I bought these Ariats to replace them. I wanted them as casual, mild work boots. These look very nice and I wear them everywhere (no mild work in them yet; I kinda like them maybe a little too much). Very comfortable, too (I bought them in a 12 EE). First day I wore them when out shopping with the wife, then walking the dog. About 8 hours of walking. No issues, rubbing, etc... As they are breaking in, they are getting even more comfortable. (And yes, I have slept in them.)
    The picture is true to color as well. The brown start out pretty glossy but has softened now (I'm sure I could polish back to a luster, but that's not what I want them for).
    For a Mid-priced boot, these look great and are very well made. Don't know if they'll make 20 years, but they look like they should. I'll update the review when they do.

    Nice boots, the blue color on the shaft is just the right shade, not too lite and not a real dark blue. The crosses accent the look and add to the appeal for me. I have a hard to fit long (13) narrow foot and I think the B width is just right for me. In some boots a D width will do without a sloppy loose fit but with a wide flat toe the tighter fit in the vamp holds the boot in place without the heel rising too much. I like the fact that it has leather soles, when they wear out it can be resold. I don't believe that the rubber soled Ariats can be resoled. Overall very pleased so far. I read some reviews that said the leather soles wear out quickly but seriously the pictures that were posted with those reviews also looked like the boots were worn walking around in rainy weather or mud. Any leather soled shoe or boot will soak up water/moisture if worn in those conditions. If your going to do that wear a pair of boots with the rubber soles and heel. Again, a nice style and fit from Ariat.
