    Demonia makes relatively inexpensive boots and has a wide variety of styles they offer. Some of the boots they make are very cheap and admittedly fall apart quickly. Not the case with these boots.

    These are the best boots Demonia makes. Leather construction, steel toe and soles which are both stitched and screwed into the boot. Another great feature one may not expect is that the lack of a zipper actually makes them more durable since all zippers are prone to breaking. I believe the durability is due to the fact these are an older design which came out at the end of the 90s/early 2000s and was before cost cutting may have eaten into Demonia's build quality.

    I got my first pair of these in 2001 and buy a pair of these about every 4-5 years then wear them every day until they fall apart. These have went with me everywhere from highshool every day, several trips to Europe and many concerts to work where I wear them all day on my 9 hour shift. Those who complain of discomfort may not be breaking them in properly since they will probably need to be worn at least 10+ hrs before becoming comfortable. Since the sole is very flat I would recommend some kind of arch supporting inserts. Additionally this should go without saying but you should wear tall, thick socks when wearing combat boots like these.

    Once for a project I tried removing the soles on an old pair of these. It was extremely difficult and I would never believe anyone who claimed that the soles could fall off of this particular style of Demonia boot (unlike some of their cheaper platforms etc which are prone to such a problem). As for fit, I wear a size 12 which fits as expected and have thin legs which have plenty of room (almost too much) in the calf.

    I hope that Pleaser never stops making these boots since they are my favorite along with their similar variations and are an excellent shoe.

    These boots run large. Bought them for my grandson. He wears a size 11 so that's where I started. The boots were a good 2" too long. The second pair was still too long. The last pair finally fit, sort of. Length was fine, but the width was too narrow. For the price, I would think the manufacturer could get this right.

    I've bought a pair of Demonia shoes before and I know the sizing works the same with Pleaser. That is, the sizing is a little odd and the shoes tend to run larger or smaller, depending on style and quality control.

    So I purchased the first pair, a 1/2 size smaller than what I normally wear. It didn't fit and was too tight. I had to send it back. (Also, there were a few minor defects on the exterior.)

    Then I bought a pair a 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear. It fit around the foot but, as I laced it and tried to zip it, I realized that it wouldn't fit around my calf. My younger sister tried it on (14" calf) and it barely fit around hers. So if you've got muscular and/or chunky calves, I don't suggest purchasing this item. I had to send that pair back, too.

    Heavy duty boot I use for work the only thing that would make these better would be if they were steel toes. leather is heavy duty, the belts are just high enough above the ankle to prevent pinching. I've worn these for 2 years now and with little upkeep and they are still in good shape.
