Same awesome comfortable waterproof work-shoe as before

Same awesome comfortable waterproof work-shoe as before
Same awesome comfortable waterproof work-shoe as before..seems like a nice thicker insole and lining too. Same fit as my previous pair..I wear a mens 7 - 7.5 sneaker so a Boggs 8 is perfect. I walk and jog 5-6 miles a day at work in all types of weather as a professional pet waste removal tech and have never had a pair of better shoes. Two years from my old pair so do the math...600 miles !!Wish they still made the olive color but that was not an issue when it came to a great shoe.

I love the look and fit of these rain shoes. They are reasonably light in weight, and keep my feet dry in wet weather. I walk through shallow puddles without any water getting into the shoe. The stretchable material around the ankle is easy to slip into ( dispite its small opening ) if you use a shoe horn, or place a finger into the back of the shoe and pull back while putting them on. The little tab at the rear doesn't help because it pulls the shape into a narrow slit. Once the shoe is on it holds onto the foot well without any slippage as you walk.
The only two small issues I have are that the arch is low, but the inner liner can be removed and replaced. Also, the bottom is slippery when stepping onto wet grass or leaves., but should become rougher with time. I expect it will wear well for many seasons. A good buy on Amazon for $64.14. I ordered my size and the shoe fit is perfect.

I love these things, hands down. I was also thrilled to get them for only $50 (well, $60 with tax and shipping...I don't have Prime.) Everywhere else I looked they seem to run for, on average, $90, before (locally) sales tax and/or shipping. They fit snugly but not too tight and my feet don't slop around in them at all. They are a minor pain to put on, due to the snug ankle fit. I use a shoe horn and they pop right on. Gunk isn't going to get inside of them though. Comfortable and I can wear them all day, no problem at all. Interestingly for a rubber boot...my feet don't seem to get sweaty in them. Pretty heavy duty, so they seem, and well made. I don't think you could do much better for a general yard/garden work low boot. I recommend them. I normally wear size 10 and I tried both a 10 and 11 at a local store before I ordered these. The 11 just didn't quite feel right and I thought there was too much toe room. The 10's almost felt just a touch too tight and I was a little worried about that since my feet tend to be kind of sensitive to tight shoes. But I ordered the 10's anyway and can wear them ALL DAY and they feel great.

This is my second pair of Bogs' Urban Farmer boots in about 4 years, and overall I really like this boot for general around the house, gardening, and light farm work. The fit seems true. In comparing this particular boot to my several other styles of Muck Boots, this design fits more securely than my slip-on style of Muck Boots, as the back of this boot contours and kind-of "hugs" around my ankles, thus keeping the boots from "riding" up and down as much as I walk (which is what happens more so with all of my Mucks). I guess this is to be expected though, as these are not truly slip-on kind of boots - it does take me a small amount of hand work to get them on and ankle material positioned correctly; however, they do slip off pretty easily. This design is far better for keeping debris out of the boots when doing yard work, gardening, or walking through tall stuff, but the "binding" is not so tight that it is uncomfortable, nor does it make them debris "proof". These Bogs are also light feeling on my feet, especially compared to other boots I have worn (the rubber body of these boots feel significantly softer/thinner than my Mucks do). For my projected use, these two points are the main advantages of these boots over my short style Muck Boots. While all of my Muck Boots have a softer, more comfortable insole/footbed than these Bogs do, this most recent pair is defintely improved over my older Bogs. My new pair of Bogs has what appears to be an improved insole as well as a better inner lining/material. Overall, I am definitely satisfied with my purchase for these task specific boots.

These shoes don't need another review, but I felt compelled to add my two cents. Just bought a house on five acres and there is no end to the backbreaking outdoor labor. These shoes have been a life-saver, sock-saver, waterproof, mud-kicking, branch-breaking, garden-planting, friend to the cause. I wanted something lower than a boot for the hot weather, and these babies don't disappoint. I'll buy the knee-high version come winter for sure.

They're a little heavier than some other waterproof shoes I've had, but they seem to be a lot tougher. Like the other shoes are Chihuahuas and these are Great Danes. What you sacrifice in portability, you make up for in strength. I'd say I'll buy them again, but based on a month of hard, semi-urban farming use, I don't think I'll have to for quite a while.

Fit was perfect. They're slip-ons, so you want them snug going on and off so they hug you nicely while you're out farming the urban landscape. The on/off has loosened up just the right amount. Fit perfectly with room for big, thick, urban farming socks, or extra space in there if, like me, you just wear regular socks.

This is an update to my earlier review. I still love these boots but found a crack in the rubber after one year of use.

I live on 5 acres in Florida and the grass is wet most mornings. I used to use boots to keep my feet dry, but they were uncomfortable after a couple of hours. I wish I'd found these Bogs a long time ago. They're very comfortable without making my feet uncomfortably hot - which is important in the summer. I use a shoe horn to put them on with no difficulty. I never use the pull tab, as I can see that they could break after repeated use. I've had these for about 6 months and they look brand new, even though I used them a lot.
