Top review from the United States

Wow! what a difference.

I have worn some form of combat boots for the last 22 years of my life. I have usually defaulted to the basic issue boots for daily wear. I have had the normal range of Soldier feet issues from planters fasciitus to a minor hammer toe.

I started wearing the Brooks line of minimalist running shoes about two years ago (PureCadence and PureFlow). These boots are like the combat boot version of those shoes. They are super light and offer a flexible sole without feeling like you are walking bare foot on gravel. They don't try to lock your foot and ankle into place. They are the most comfortable boots I have worn. I have used them in the office, road marching, and standing around (you do a lot of that in the Army).

I did deduct a star for the fact that they run wide. The length is spot on true to size. But I have to lace them up tight to keep my foot from sliding from side to side. Also, if you have not worn minimalist shoes, you should buy a pair before investing these boots. They do not give the same arch and heel support that most people expect from boots and running shoes.
