The boots were comfortable at first, but I soon developed calluses and cuts on my heel and the sides of my feet. I noticed that the interior of the shoe isn't made up of anything but the inner leather of the exterior. Next time I'll be sure to get something with a bit of an inner cushion.

Fit like a glove as soon as I put them on, but walking a different matter! Ankle rub for first few wearings until worn in, which is the nature of some boots I suppose.hence only 4 not 5 stars. Had Cat boots previously but the model now discontinued, none I liked in their range to match, so tried Timberland for first time. Now love them! Waterproof, sturdy, look good and now fit perfectly. Well worth persevering with for first few wearings to achieve a perfect fit.
UPDATE. Now had for a while. Absolutely brilliant. Best boots ever now fully worn in.

This is my 2nd pair of Timberland chukka boots. The quality of the boot is excellent and I now wear every day whatever the weather. The latest version of the boot is shaped and snug around your foot.

The only down side is the laces. They look like they won't last very long and I haven't been able to find the exact pair when I've looked.
