    After wearing these for more then a month I have found that the edge of the steel toe cup rubs on my toes on the inside and can cause some discomfort. In my case the outside of my big toe on the right boot and the second joint on my toes rub on the left boot toe cup. Overall still a good boot, but I would have given these a 3.5/5 stars if I could.

    A little background about me before I review: I am an avid runner and snowboarder and I must wear footwear that fits very well, so I know how to size my footwear appropriately. I am 6' tall and normally wear a 10.5 size shoe.
    SIZE
    This being a metatarsal boot, it is going to be heavier and more uncomfortable then a normal boot (more then a regular steel toe) due to the added stiffness from the met protection. Since these shoes have very little flex it is important for your foot to bend at the right spot in the boot to avoid your foot trying to bend in a stiff part of the toe when walking. A boot too big allows your foot to shift during the day and cause additional discomfort by hitting one of those stiff spots. That being said, I ordered a size 10.5 boot to begin with since the reviews say they fit as expected. I am telling you SIZE DOWN HALF A SIZE AT LEAST! My toe had almost an inch of clearance from the front of the foot. After reordering to get a 10, I couldn't be happier. I also own a wolverine oxford steel toe shoe and had to bring it down a half size to fit better as well.

    COMFORT
    One of the earlier reviews said it was comfortable like a "sporting shoe." Though optimistic, a steel toed boot with a over the foot met protector will never be as comfortable as a running shoe. From your toe to halfway to your heel is very stiff, quite uncomfortable, and will take some time to get used to. But this is not a fault of the shoe but of metatarsal boots in general. It is, however, comfortable enough for me to wear all day and have my feet not hurt.

    QUALITY
    I haven't been using them very long, but it came in good condition. I will update this part of the review after some time has passed, but for now, no faults.

    I can’t believe how great these boots are. I read a lot of the reviews here on amazon and I was pretty much convinced that these boots are great. My personal experience is. They do feel great on my foot and I am really glad that I got them. My work requires me to have it. So I had no choice but to get it and I am glad that I did.

    My husband was buying new work boots every 5-6 months due to the sole seperating from the actual shoe (he was previously buying Dr Martens with the metatarsal guards), so we decided to try something new. He said these were slightly stiff and uncomfortable in the beginning, but they broke in fairly quickly. He’s had the same pair for over a year now and they’ve held together nicely.
