The high-performance design and athletic style of the Velocitor boot by Bates® allows for versatile movement and steady support throughout the day, providing superior comfort in every step. Style number: E04032. Durable leather and mesh upper. Lightweight boot with an exoskeleton design that enhances comfort and flexibility for excellent support while in motion. Soft mesh lining provides excellent breathability. TPU toe bumper is scuff resistant. Dual-density insert is cushioned for all-day comfort. Cushioned EVA midsole allows for comfortable medial support. Cement construction for more flexibility in the boot. Durable rubber outsole provides excellent traction, and features supportive TPU arch support for added comfort during long hours on your feet. Outsole passed the SATRA WTM 144 test for slip resistance. Imported. This highly breathable, lightweight boot features leather and mesh uppers with a TPU frame for enhanced upper support.

The desert and earth color boots feature oil, stain and abrasion-resistant Wolverine Warrior Leather, while the rough-side-out leather is treated with 3M Scotchgard protection for superior performance and easy cleaning.

The Velocitor features a TPU toe bumper for abrasion protection and added durability. A cushioned EVA midsole with additional medial support and a TPU arch stabilizer provide for optimal cushion and stability. Finally, a durable rubber lug sole offers lasting wear on varied surfaces.

I have worn these 5-6 days a week. 12-18 hours a day for a year and a half. They feel like running shoes. I have wide feet and they dont bother me at all. The tread is wide and sturdy. I'm not gonna lie, the lugs on the tread start to come off after awhile and the mesh tears but I could still wear these another month. My other boots in the $120 range only last 6-7 months. These are comfortable and did the job for me. I got my $$ out of them. I work, run and train at the range in them. I'm gladly buying another pair!! Slap some gel inserts in them for an extra kick and look forward to some comfortable use....

These boots are incredibly comfortable. I bought another pair of Bates tactical boots that I really liked so I believe in the brand. I did read the reviews first and agree these boots run big. I bought my other Bates boots in size 14 and they were perfect. But glad I bought these in 13 wide. Perfect fit. I could wear these boots 24 hours a day they are so comfortable. They have a snug, but solid feel. The material is soft and quite solid in hugging my feet. For me the boot is as solid and secure as leather boots I have worn in the past. So, after a few month of wearing these boots. they are still holding up pretty well. The lugs on the soles are still in good shape, which is a big plus. I am a heel striker when I walk and I haven't worn the heels out. I am pretty impressed with that. The only negative is that the lugs on the side of the boot, in the toe area, are starting to peel off. A little Shoe Goo fixes this problem. I thought it was worth a mention, because some may buy these boots before a deployment and not have anything to fix them with.

I bought these boots as a replacement for Under Armor Valstez boots. I wanted something with a little bit of a stiffer sole. I am on concrete for 12 hours a day, so I need decent support for my feet. Also, I have wide feet, so I was happy to find a light boot with wide sizes.

These boots felt great right out of the box. The wide size on these was a little wider than New Balance shoes, so they feel a little sloppy on my feet. That is the only reason I'm taking away a star; in reality, it is worth only 1/2 star deduction.

These boots look great and are easy to clean up. They do pretty good in wet situations and don't skid on dry concrete. I run and walk in them with absolutely no problem. I would buy them again and I have recommended them to friends.

Rubber lug on sole started to separate and come off after just a few weeks. Laces eyelet came off a week or so later. Other than that they’ve held up quite nicely. I’m willing to buy another pair just to see if mine were an anomaly.

These are similar to the Under Armor ones, but since I am a big Bates fan, I went with these and was not disappointed. Bates makes some good stuff. I ordered a size half smaller and they fit like a glove.

I would love this boots if the quality control wasn't so terrible. I have no idea what happened to bates but their quality control has gone down the drain. The boots are comfortable and breathable. Good hot weather boots but will instantly get soaked in water if step in a puddle. But most hot weather boots are like that so I can't fault them for it. But again that quality control is horrible. I used to love bates but now every time I get a pair I worry that they will fall apart. I say save your self some cash an get a set of Danners they will last forever plus can be sent back to get them repaired/replaced anytime.

I love them for the fact that they feel like comfortable basketball shoes while hiking. The grip was typical of Bates and they stay cool. But because they stay cool, means they aren't waterproof and the comfort takes away from the ankle support even as a high top. However, they are a great summer hiker. Super light weight! I only had one small blister on my heel after a 16 mi hike, straight out the box. Not too shabby.
