Real leather boots are lightweight and shaped strangely

- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2014I bought a pair of boots, over $100. The right boot is shiny, the left is a flat matte. They do not match at all.
Clearly from two different pieces of material or production runs.
I really want the boots and don't care if they are shiny or flat, but I want them to match! Can SOMEONE

- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2011Size: 10Color: Black LeatherVerified PurchaseVery good quality boots. Comfortable right out of the box. Only problem is that if you have large calves, it will be a tight squeeze around your thighs. I have a thick build so my legs are a little on the heavy side, so I kind of have to pull the top up my legs as far as I can and the fold over the rest.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2015I actually got the real pig leather version at a local store for about the same price as the "Black leather" colored PolyUrethane version. I wear size 14, and there is no toe pinch even though I haven't clipped my toenails for a while. There's a little swim in them, but the toe is shaped somewhat pointed. I don't know if there's room for a good insole with them: hopefully. I have tried these with my black cotton Kung Fu pants, which I use for my pirate costume, and they are pretty good, but they tend to droop, and they are definitely not knee height on me, and I'm only 6'3''. When folded, they are 17" from the floor. They are not really in the stereotypical pirate style, which I like, but the fold is relatively small and close to the boot. When folded up, they are more in the captain style, and they measure at least 20'' from the floor, which works well with my black Sith outfit. I was worried that the calves would be too tight, since mine measure 17.5'' around, but they are actually a very good fit; in fact, I wish they were slightly tighter, so they wouldn't droop as the leather is somewhat thin, and I may accomplish this with heavy boot socks or thin knee pads, or I may need some clips on the inside of the boot attached to pants. One thing I do NOT like is that there is a slight projection forward in the front bottom of the shaft, which may be necessary for the foot to slip into the boot, but it sticks out and makes the shaft look a bit misshapen. Overall, they are comfortable, but they definitely feel more like costume boots and less like real boots. I have a low ankle-length pair of Danner Goretex boots that weighs far more than these. I do not have (or want) the PUs, so I cannot speak of those.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2015The shaft of the boot was narrower than expected. The foot seemed to be an ok fit. I wish they would bring back the other knee boot style as the fit was a little more generous in the calf.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2013They fit wonderfully, very comfortable, But look fake. First advertised as real leather but they aren't. For $120 it wasn't worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2015Not a bad pair of costume boots but a little on the pricey side. Had a hard time getting them past the beginning of my calf muscle. Also a little narrow in the feet but comfortable enough
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2015I wear a size 11 in Allstars. The size 11 was too small for me. Hopefully this is a good reference for those of you. Order a size larger.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wandenweite
Der Stiefel ist ok. Leider fällt die Wandenweite sehr klein aus. Eine Schuhgröße mehr stimmte die Weite, aber der Stiefel war viel zu groß.
