- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2016Having trouble buying shoes/boots on amazon after years of success doing so, all Timberland which I love but returned these "dark brown" because they were so dark I'd call them black (bad picture?), and way too narrow even though I ordered wide width. Returned a second pair also due to width (and hardware different from picture), they simply had to be marked wrong, not "wide" at all. I'd really also like to see the sellers of shoes/boots stop the Con-Game. Price range of $ very low amount up to whatever amount, but soon as you select your size the low teaser price shoots way the hell up. It's making me not want to bother trying to find value on amazon any longer. Hope the powers that be (Bezos) address this, but doubt it will change.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2020Was initially fairly comfortable, there is a seam on the back heel that rubs a small amount, but you get used to it. The issue I have is that a month after the return window closed, an eyelet that has the D-ring attached to it, popped right out when I was lacing up the shoe. It was just a normal tying pressure, didn't Hulk the darn thing at all. I pushed the eyelet back in, but it certainly has no firmness. Two months old, still looks great, on average only wore it 2 to 3 times a week.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2015I bought these at a big box sports store on sale in May 2015. I will say I am rough on the soles of all my shoes and the tread on these has held up well. They are also very comfortable. The fit and comfort during hard use are a definite plus for these boots.
The problems I have are with the upper part of the shoe. While pulling one on using the pull strap on the back of the right boot, the strap ripped out of its stitches. Not a bad problem as the boots were still wearable. But it was a sign of things to come. Another problem I had was with the 4 lace hooks. I immediately noticed during the first time I wore them that the material under the hooks was not strong enough to support them under tension. They pulled and rotated inwards when laced tightly. Thanksgiving weekend 2015, the hooks started to tear away from their mounts and the white padding underneath is showing. I know that the hooks will completely tear away soon and probably make the boots unwearable. I bought these boots with the hope that they would last many years, but these won't last that long.
I am highly disappointed in the Timberland brand for making a boot not consistent with their usual brand quality. I WOULD NOT recommend this style of boot to my friends.
UPDATE: a few days after submitting this review, a hook did detach from the boot. I am not one to dispose of things easily so I ordered new hooks and riveted them in. SEE PIC. my boots are now wearable and will be for a long time. Still 3-STARS.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2020I usually wear a size 11 but it was a tight fit. Amazon quickly exchanged it for a size 11.5. My previous pair of Timberland boots (made in China) lasted for more than ten years. The new pair was made in the Philippines. I hope to get ten year of wear from this new pair.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2016I purchased these as a christmas gift for my husband, after wearing these in the snow which was stated when purchased to be waterproff, they hwere not. very diappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2021The rivet for the eyelet or anchor for the shoe string d-ring popped out the second time they were worn. I ordered them online and could not return them. Total loss and waste of money. Shame too because they were comfortable. I would avoid them.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2015I wore these Timberland Flumes for 4 or 5 years almost every day. Granted I have a desk job but I still walk a lot. I ride a motorcycle to work most weather permitting days and these boots are perfect! Absolutely an awesome product. I can't stress enough how comfortable these boots have become. I am normally a standard size 10.5 but these are a 10.5W and they fit great. I'm going for a second pair as these are starting to show the full time wear. But I never treated them with anything and even the worn leather still looks good! Let's hope they still build 'em like they used to..
Timberland Flume's are great!
